Blur Image
Draw rectangles over faces, plates or any sensitive area and blur or pixelate them. Everything runs locally — nothing is uploaded.

Your images are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to a server unless you explicitly save them to your cloud (available after sign-in).
How to use
- Load an image into the blur tool.
- Choose a mode: mosaic (pixelate) or gaussian blur.
- Set the blur radius or mosaic tile size.
- Drag on the image to draw a rectangle over the area you want to hide — faces, plates, text, or signatures. Add as many regions as you need.
- Click Export to download the result. Clear regions removes all selections.
When to use it
- Blurring faces in photos before sharing them publicly.
- Pixelating license plates, IDs, or addresses in screenshots.
- Hiding sensitive text or signatures in a document scan.
- Redacting parts of an image for a tutorial or bug report.
Mosaic vs gaussian blur
Mosaic pixelates a region into blocky tiles, which is unmistakably redacted and hard to reverse. Gaussian blur softens the area smoothly, which looks more natural but is weaker for sensitive text. Use mosaic when you need to be sure the detail is gone.
Regions are drawn by you
There is no automatic detection: you draw each rectangle, so you keep full control over exactly what is hidden and nothing is blurred by accident.
FAQ
- Does the tool detect faces automatically?
- No. You draw each region yourself, which keeps the tool fully local and avoids any cloud-based detection. It also means you decide precisely what is obscured.
- Can I blur several areas?
- Yes. Draw as many rectangles as you need; each is applied to the export. Clear regions removes them all.
- Is the blur applied to the downloaded file?
- Yes. The export re-renders the image at full resolution with all your regions blurred or pixelated.
